This past year has brought growth, and exciting changes that are amazing to see and so encouraging. First of all you can notice many who were just worshippers are now taking charge of services, reading scripture, collecting offering, cleaning, sweeping, serving, handling chairs, tables, etc.
Here is Yayo, who has led the service several times. He is also a faithful attendee at the weekly bible studies in Río Indio too. It is difficult for many to come into Mahahual, even with the church van, so bible studies from Cruz del Cristo goes out Thursday to Río Indio a nearby community.
We were blessed that Pastor Martens saw Yayo's potential as a leader and worked with him to ready him for the task of leading our worship services on Sundays. And yes, seeing everyone step up to help during the absence of a pastor has been such an inspiration - We see this is God's church and that He will sustain us always!
ReplyDeleteHI there,
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are going to be arriving at Costa Maya on a Sunday (cruise ship and we are from St Albert, Canada) and hoped to meet a local church there...do you have meetings on Sundays, and if you do, where are you located, and are we welcome? Thank you.
